Things required to make your Diwali Greetings card

  • A4 size sheet paper
  • Scale
  • Pencils
  • Eraser
  • Sketch pen
  • Color Pencils
  • Small plastic stars
  • Glitter powder
  • Fevicol or fevistick
  • Water Color or Poster color(if you want to paint)
  • Crayons(if you want to color )
  • Different shapes and sizes if you want to paint an impression of an object
Follow the below steps in order to make a Diwali Greetings card at home

  1. Find an A4 size paper
  2. You can also get color chart paper sheets if you want to make your greetings card more colorful
  3. Fold the A4 size paper into half
  4. Decide on which side of the paper you want to draw.
  5. Draw a clean border across the front cover of your blank card.
  6. Now you have to decide what image you want to paste on the card
  7. Or You can draw a nice beautiful Diya, Candle, God, Goddess, Crackers, etc on your Diwali greetings card.


Let's start now

  • First of all, take an a4 size sheet. Try to take a colored a4 size sheet because it will make your Diwali greetings card look more beautiful. Then Fold the a4 size sheet into two. Take the first face of the greeting card to be the base for designing your Diwali cards.
  • Then past fevicol or fevi stick around the border of the face of your card. After applying proper glue to your card you have to paste a color paper on the face. So that it gives a good background to your Diwali greeting card.
  • After doing this you have to draw some beautiful designs across the border of your greeting card. Try to make small diyas around the border. This will give the impression that this card is for Diwali.
  • After making diyas around the border you need to draw some shapes. You can also paste some carved out images from the newspaper that suit Diwali. You can paste a diya image, cracker image, candle image, etc. Here is a list of best Diwali images for your card.
  • There is also an option that you can draw a diya or candle on your Diwali greeting card. This is a bit time consuming but it will tell the person that you really worked hard on making Diwali greetings card while sitting at home.
  • After that paste stars on the greeting card. Put fevicol behind the stars and paste it to places where you want stars to appear on the card. 
  • Once you have done all your front designing, now its time to make the interior part of your card look more beautiful. 
  • Design the border of your interior card. Draw diyas and paste stars on the interior of your card.

  • Make sure to use as many Diwali wishes and Diwali images on your card as possible. This will show how much hard work you have done making Diwali Greeting cards.
  • Once the face and the interior of your card is done. Now you have to design the back of your card. The back of your greeting card is important because it gives a finishing touch to your card. You can draw some drawings related to Diwali or if you know how to make rangolis ,then you can draw it on the back of your card.
